Stronger Together Grant Received!

Blog Archives:

In recognition of the importance to effectively equip teachers in the task of Christ-centred education, EduDeo Ministries has received a $26,500 grant from the Stronger Together granting partnership to assist in developing an evaluation tool for educator training.  The funding will strengthen EduDeo Ministries’ Walking Together Program, which provides Biblical worldview training and practical teaching support to educators in key partner countries, including Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Belize in Central America and Zambia, Ghana, Benin, Ethiopia, South Sudan and South Africa in Africa.

“This is fantastic news for our Walking Together program,” notes EduDeo Ministries’ Executive Director, Hank de Jong.  “With this funding, we will be able to achieve our goal of developing an effective evaluation tool to measure the success of our international teaching training initiatives.  We are truly thankful to the Stronger Together granting partnership for investing in the cause of Christian education in the developing world.”

Stronger Together Program Director, Brent Fearon, cited a number of factors in the granting partnership’s decision to support the Walking Together program.  “As granting partners, we are encouraged by the project EduDeo Ministries was proposing and could readily see its positive impact with their work within Christian education internationally. We are also particularly pleased to see their experience will be documented into a resource that may be used in other contexts and by other organizations.”

EduDeo Ministries has developed the Walking Together program to help bring about long-term, sustainable change in the lives of educators that will impact children, their families and communities.
