Outlook Summit: Hope is Insight!

Blog Archives:

On behalf of the team at EduDeo Ministries, we want to thank the entrepreneurs, executives and business leaders who attended the Outlook Summit, Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Crossroads Centre in Burlington. The summit featured three high-level, faith-based keynote speakers, including Don Simmonds, serial entrepreneur and Chair of Crossroads Christian Communications; Dr. Marvin Olasky, former White House advisor, bestselling author and Editor-in-Chief of World Magazine and Wade Myers, Harvard MBA, serial entrepreneur, founder of New Venture Lab and President of the Venture Academy.

The summit provided attendees with a refreshing look at what it means to be a courageous and faithful leader in the marketplace and public square as well as addressing current economic challenges and opportunities facing faith-based business leaders and entrepreneurs, providing experienced analysis and tangible solutions from a Kingdom perspective on work and life. The event was both a key fundraiser to support EduDeo Ministries’ advancement of Christ-centred education in the developing world and forum to promote a successful culture of faith-based executive-level leadership, business management and entrepreneurship in Canada.

We want to thank our event hosts, the Crossroads Centre, our corporate event sponsors, Martinrea International Inc., RockLinc Investment Partners Inc. and Paideia Press, as well as our table sponsors, Redeemer University College, Hamilton District Christian High, Super Sucker Hydro Vac Service Inc., Cedar Springs Landscape Group Ltd. and Compass Creative Studio Inc. for supporting the summit.

It was also great to see a number of aspiring business students from Smithville Christian High School, Heritage Christian School and Guido de Brès Christian High School at the event, representing the next generation of leaders.

We hope and pray attendees were inspired, encouraged and challenged.  As was mentioned on the day of the event, we are deeply grateful for the support of the business community.  We could not accomplish our mission and vision and impact the lives of students, their families and entire communities without our faithful support community.  Please continue to pray for our work as we integrate the Gospel message into education!
