One Dress, One Month, One Humbling Adventure

Blog Archives:

the one Dress projectLast month we posted about The One Dress Project, Brittany McDonnell’s creative fundraising initiative to raise awareness and support for Christ-centred education in developing countries. For for the entire month of November, Brittany wore the same black dress every day, and asked all those who wished to support her to do so by donating to EduDeo Ministries.

Not only was The One Dress Project a way for Brittany to step away from the consumerist lifestyle of North America, it was also a way to stand up for children in developing countries—many of whom cannot even afford a school uniform. Her past experience traveling to Nicaragua with EduDeo allowed her to see, firsthand, the challenges many children face there, as well as the transformation taking place through quality Christian education.

Brittany is thrilled by the prayers and financial support she received! In total, she raised $1,265 for EduDeo Ministries! And she hathe one Dress projectd this to say to those who came alongside her in this month-long journey:

“It has been such a humbling adventure. I am forever grateful for each and every opportunity that has been presented through this project. May what I have learned be carried for a lifetime, and not simply forgotten as I go back to my regular wardrobe. Thank you to all who supported my efforts with prayer and donations. May we all remember to continue to glorify God in each step of our daily lives!”

From all of us at EduDeo Ministries a big thank you to you, Brittany! In one month you helped to change lives forever. And we hope others will follow your example of resourcefully and passionately working to see lives transformed by gospel-rooted education.
