A School that is part of ACECEN

Colegio Centro de Fe Vida Nueva opened in 1993 by the pastor and two church members as an extension of the church’s ministry in their community. They began with a Christian preschool for 34 students, aged 3-5, holding classes in two small rooms of the church.

As the congregation grew and the church gained support from the community, primary grades were added in 1997. Many students who attended the preschool continued at Centro de Fe Vida Nueva for elementary school, even from families that did not belong to the church. As the children progressed through years of education, the community saw transformation in them and their families as they learned within a Biblical worldview framework.

Because school enrollment continued to grow, a lot adjacent to the church was purchased in 1999. Through the grace of God, prayer, and fundraising, temporary classrooms were built and foundations for new, more permanent classrooms were laid.

2001 saw the beginning of their high school program as grade 7 was added. Every consecutive year another grade was added until a full high school program was available.

Between 2001 and 2003, HANDS teams helped build new classrooms on the prepared foundations. Centro de Fe also joined ACECEN which provides regular teacher training and mentoring from a biblical worldview.

Centro de Fe Vida Nueva continues to faithfully provide education for the glory of God.

Centro de Fe prides itself on fostering effective performance in all of its educational partners: board members, teachers, administration, students, parents, representatives, and tutors. With the participation of all who form this educational family, a better society is being built. By promoting the practice of spiritual, moral, and ethical values in an atmosphere of peace and justice as summarized in the commands to love God above all things and love your neighbour as yourself, Centro de Fe aims to help build a better society.

The school has 23 staff members: 17 teachers and 6 administrative staff. All the teachers and staff are Christians and many attend the church that started the school. A typical school day begins at 7:00am and ends by 1:00pm. Centro de Fe must charge monthly tuition to meet its expenses, but many students are from low income families so scholarship support offsets their fees. A majority of the students do not come from Christian homes. At school, they hear and learn about God through the different learning materials and school-wide programs, such as their Biblical Marathon.

The school has partnered with Abbotsford Christian School through the EduDeo School2School program since 2011. The program has had a tremendous impact on both schools, and has grown Colegio Centro de Fe Vida Nueva in various ways as a school. The School2School program also relates to their vision, which is based on building relationships with other schools.

In May 2016, Sandra, the school's principal, and Eslis, a second grade teacher, had the opportunity to visit Abbotsford Christian School in Canada. Sandra shared, "It was a great experience! It was enriching for me as a principal and for Eslis as a teacher to learn some strategies to put them in practice in our school. There are so many differences between the two schools in both facilities and financial, but one same vision join us together, which is Christian Values."

Centro de Fe’s Commitment:

To form upright men and women of integrity with Christian principles and values.
