About this Project

The role Marc & Dora Stroobosscher have volunteered to take on will be to provide high-quality, financial, administrative and educational mentorship to EduDeo Ministries’ partner, the CCAP Education Department.

In response to the CCAP Education Department’s request and desire to enhance its transparency and effectiveness, EduDeo Ministries sought applications for the placement of Canadian volunteers in Lundazi, Zambia to develop an understanding of the ongoing
operations of the partner and facilitate greater capacity, effectiveness and understanding of financial management, organizational administration and Biblical worldview in education.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To be attentive to and learn the dominant culture and some basic greetings in the local language;
  • To come to an understanding of the operational documents, culture and structure of the CCAP Education Department;
  • Through dialogue, training and facilitation, help the CCAP develop greater ability to:
    • Track financial expenditures and produce accurate financial reports;
    • More effectively administer the department;
    • Understand and encourage integration of Biblical worldview within CCAP schools;
  • Interaction with schools, teachers, students and community members to gather stories and pictures of impact and transformation for local and international promotion of CCAP;
  • To interact with HANDS teams (when present) to bridge the cultural divide and help members understand the larger work of CCAP;
  • Report back to EduDeo and give thanks to their own supporting community.

We pray that God will give Marc & Dora Stroobosscher all they need as they prepare for this position, and go out to serve, humbly, in partnership with CCAP, passionate for the God is doing through EduDeo Ministries, CCAP Education Department and the schools in Zambia.  We also pray that they will live safely and effectively in a developing nation and tropical climate with limited health services, be compassionate and respectful of others and other cultures, be proactive and work with minimal supervision in ambiguous situations, be flexible, adaptable and able to view life with a sense of humor, and serve with a spirit of cooperation and a willingness of heart.
May God be with them as they serve!
